Shah Rukh Khan reveals reason for detention; decides to launch his own airline

Newark: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was detained at the Newark airport in New Jersey for two hours while he was on his way to take part in an Independence Day celebration. This has caused much furor amongst many citizens of India who wish to know the reason it happened and are angry at the officials who did this.

Sources reveal that when the guard on duty asked SRK what his name was, he said “Raj….naam to suna hoga”. However, that name did not match with the name on his passport and so he was detained for questioning. Angry at this incident, SRK has decided to launch his own commercial airline.

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam has agreed to be the first customer of SRK’s airline. Dr. Kalam, who was also frisked at the Delhi airport by the ground staff of continental airline, has been one of the most respected Presidents of India and is the author of thought provoking book ‘Ignited Minds’. Continental staff claimed that they frisked Dr. Kalam because they were concerned that he was carrying inflammatory materials on board.

Dr. Kalam is a former President of India and author of ‘Ignited Minds’. But if someone’s head is on fire, it is natural for them to be checked before boarding an aircraft.

Our readers have expressed mixed feelings about the incidence. “Shah Rukh should understand, bade bade deshon mein, aisi choti choti batein…hoti rehti hain” said one while another reader expressed grief “We cannot let this go and be tolerant. This is how it begins. To racially profile someone just because of their name, religion or color is plain wrong. Next thing you know, they will be targeting our students there, like Australia. Why aren’t US citizens frequently detained for questioning? I agree that majority of 9/11 terrorists were from a particular religion, but if you see the total number of hijacks, wouldn’t American hijackers far outnumber the hijackers whose name is Khan?”

We interviewed the guard who detained SRK. “Well, first of all he did not say his name right! Said his name was Raj Mathur and kept asking us if we have heard this name. When we asked him what will he be doing in US tomorrow he said “Kal ho na ho!”. We got scared that he might be a suicide bomber. Then we asked him how much time before he blows up Chicago, he said “Sattar minute, Sattar Minute hain tumhare paas”. That is when we decided to detain him for 70 minutes to ensure nothing goes wrong.

The guard reveals confusion as the reason for SRK’s detention

Saif Ali Khan, who was in US that day without any problems, was miffed. “Why is it that no one pays any attention to me?! My name is also Khan! I have never been detained. It is so unfair that everyone selects SRK over me. Be it Karan Johar or Madame Tussauds. I even showed my underwear in Salaam Namaste, what can be more terrorizing than that? Still no detention.”

COI wishes Shah Rukh Khan well and hopes he recovers from the incident soon. He is, after all, the actor with the best sense of humor we have seen.
